NIHR BioResource Centre Newcastle

The NIHR BioResource is a panel of more than 200,000 people who have volunteered to take part in research studies.

The BioResource Centre Newcastle is one of the many BioResource centres in the UK. We are working hard across the region to collect information from people in the North East. This information contributes to a national initiative designed to fight against common conditions, as well as rare diseases that are affecting people throughout England.

In Newcastle, the BioResource specialises in ageing and multiple long-term conditions, but we also coordinate recruitment for the Immune-Mediated Inflammatory Diseases (IMID) BioResource, the Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) BioResource and the NIHR BioResource Rare Diseases.
