Research to be recognised by CQC for its role in improving patient care

A partnership has formed between the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), the Health Research Authority (HRA), the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and the Care Quality Commission (CQC), to develop new research indicators for use as part of CQC’s monitoring and inspection programme. Members of the NHS R&D Forum are also part of this work to support the partnership in taking forward indicators that are workable for the NHS.
