400,000 volunteers sign up with Be Part of Research
Date: 29 January 2024
Over 400,000 people from every corner of the UK have now signed up to the new research registry from Be Part of Research.
The new service – which is set for a full public launch later this year – makes it easy for people to find and take part in suitable health and care research.
Volunteers can register using their email or NHS login, and choose the areas of health and care research they’re interested in. They’re then sent opportunities to take part in suitable studies straight to their inbox. The service provides opportunities to take part in studies across every major health condition.
The new UK-wide registry also provides vital tool for researchers – offering the potential to fast-track recruitment to studies through access to an engaged and research-ready pool of volunteers from across the country. The value and potential of the service was recently recognised in the Lord O’Shaughnessy review as a key tool to increase the scale, speed and efficiency of clinical trial delivery in the UK.
