Five Patient Recruitment Centres: Important opportunity for NHS Trusts and NHS Foundations Trusts in England

On Friday the NIHR CRN released a competition looking for hosts for five Patient Recruitment Centres (PRCs). This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of a key development for delivering late-phase commercial research in England.
The expectation is a single NHS organisation will bid to host one of five PRCs across England. Each Centre will operate on a national franchise-like model, using predefined standard operating procedures and technology (NIHR Hub) to enable a digital first approach to undertake late-phase commercial research. A consistent approach to centre operations, including costing contracting and R&D approval, will facilitate the rapid set-up of studies.
The application process is in two stages:
Timeline for Stage 1 questionnaire submission (SOQ):
- Deadline for clarification questions relating to the SOQ is by 12.00 PM on 21 October 2019
- All SOQ applications must be submitted, via email only to prc@nihr.ac.uk by 12.00 PM on 25 October 2019
