Transforming the Study Support Service

As communicated previously, the Terms and Conditions for NIHR CRN support (T&Cs) require sponsors (or delegates) to provide assessments of study progress alongside regular updates of key data items and milestones.
By providing the NIHR CRN with up to date information, the CRN can provide DHSC with a clear view of portfolio activity and ensure that CRN support and NHS support costs are directed to support studies appropriately.
Therefore sponsors and their delegates should familiarise themselves with the Sponsor Engagement Tool (assessmystudy.nihr.ac.uk) access the supporting materials in NIHR Learn and provide regular assessments and information, as per the T&Cs. Please reach out to your local LCRN if you need support and advice about how to do this.
We are now at the stage where warning letters are being issued for study sponsors that have not yet updated their study status via the Sponsor Engagement Tool.
