COVID-19 #Red4Research campaign – Friday 3rd April 2020

Date: 31 March 2020

Campaign created by Sally Humphreys, nurse, researcher and chair of the NHS R&D Forum research management working group.

COVID-19 is affecting us all. On the front line and behind the scenes are incredible research teams collectively working to develop new diagnostics and treatments for COVID-19.  The wear #Red4Research campaign on Friday 3rd April 2020 aims to get as many people as possible wearing red to demonstrate their support and appreciation for all those participating, undertaking and supporting COVID-19 research.  #Red4Research is completely inclusive – anyone, any age, anywhere can participate – children, adults, even pets!

The concept is very simple.  Anyone can wear any item of clothing as long as it is red then print or make a placard saying #Red4Research, take a photo and post it on social media with the #Red4Research hashtag.  It’s all about positivity, creativity and support in the face of adversity.  Hopefully people might have a bit of fun along the way and raise the profile of UK research.

Download the #Red4Research placard template here and get involved.
