Introduction
An excellent course providing expert insights in the practicalities of good documentation practice as it relates to clinical research. (This new course is replacing the Archiving Masterclass course).
Course Structure
A one-day, in-depth masterclass delivered by trainers with advanced clinical records management expertise taking participants through all the key requirements for creating, reviewing, approving, finalising, managing, storing and archiving / preserving essential documents, records, and research data.
Who is the Course for?
This Good Documentation Practice Master Class has been developed to support research management teams to better managing their clinical research documentation and data and is aimed at anyone with responsibility for creating and managing documentation and data within their organisation. As with all R&D Forum activities the course also provides valuable opportunities to meet with colleagues from across the country to discuss challenges and solutions and to share opinions, knowledge, and lived-experiences.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the course participants should:
- better understand regulations and legislation that underpin good document management practice
- be cognisant of the advantages and disadvantages of digital vs hard-copy documents and records
- know how best to manage digital records, including metadata, e-mail and digital signatures
- know how to optimize digital record keeping technologies
- have greater knowledge of digital preservation / archiving strategies
- be able to develop practical tools and suggestions for improving procedures
- better understand risk-based approaches to good document practice
- be better prepared for audits and regulatory inspection
