National Improvement Plan for the delivery of the Study Support Service
Date: 1 November 2019
The Clinical Research Network Study Support Service helps researchers and the life sciences industry plan, setup and deliver high quality research to time and target to the benefit of NHS patients and the public. These services are available for all studies eligible for our support, regardless of location, study type, study size, therapy or research area – whether a study is medical, diagnostic, pharmaceutical or biotech. We offer a flexible package of support across the clinical study life-cycle. Our offer includes a range of practical services to support study placement, set-up, and delivery monitoring to enable recruitment to agreed time and target.
The CRN has been formally providing these services for almost five years now; since 1 July 2016 this has been under the nation-wide branding of the Study Support Service. View this short video that describes the Study Support Service.
In the 2018/19 the CRN undertook a national improvement project for the Study Support Service focusing on the needs of commercial customers. View their video summarising the key outcomes from the 2018-2019 Improvement Plan.
In 2019-2020 they are focusing on a further four areas for improvement. These are described in this short video.
