NIHR annual report highlights amazing successes and milestones during 2024/25

The 2024/25 NIHR annual report has now been published.

This year’s report provides a snapshot of the NIHR’s critical work across 4 key themes: impact, inclusion, innovation and investment. From the world’s first mRNA immunotherapy for skin cancer to reducing preventable illness caused by air pollution, the report tells the story of cutting-edge research reaching further into communities, making research more inclusive and targeting research where it’s needed most.

It also recognises the vital work of researchers, clinicians and public health and social care professionals to tackle the nation’s greatest health and care challenges. Patients and members of the public also share their own stories of taking part in research, describing the life-changing impact on their health and happiness.
