Now Open – Applications open NIHR Senior Research Leader Programme

Are you a senior nurse, midwife or allied health professional passionate about leading and growing research in health and care?

We’re pleased to announce that applications for the fourth cohort of the NIHR Senior Research Leader (SRL) Programme are now open – and for the first time, Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) are eligible to apply. The SRL Programme supports experienced professionals in growing as research leaders and driving improvements in health and social care through research.

Applications open at 1 pm on Wednesday, 3 September and close on Wednesday, 22 October 2025.
