HRA guidance for sponsors, sites and researchers about COVID-19:
www.hra.nhs.uk/coronavirus
The guidance provides details of expedited processes for studies which will investigate COVID-19 (i.e. new studies and/or amendments to existing studies); as well as how to handle any changes to existing studies which are necessary as a result of response to the pandemic (e.g. impact on NHS staffing, restrictions on movement of people, any changes to supply of IMP etc.)
COVID-19: guidance on health and social care research projects for educational purposes
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the HRA and devolved administration are prioritising the review of studies related to COVID-19. There is also significant pressure on the NHS/HSC, limiting its ability to participate in research studies unrelated to COVID-19.
We have therefore decided stop reviewing applications for individual undergraduate and master’s student projects from now until further notice.
Please see this new guidance which relates to health and social care research projects conducted by undergraduate and master’s students: https://www.hra.nhs.uk/planning-and-improving-research/research-planning/student-research/
