Record-breaking study enrolment via Be Part of Research
Date: 24 April 2024
The latest study using the new Be Part of Research volunteer registry – an online survey measuring loneliness – has achieved a record breaking response. Although recruitment is still ongoing as part of a phased mailout, from the initial 200,000 invitations sent during the first week alone – the study team received 26,000 survey responses (a 13% enrolment rate).
The Measuring loneliness in UK (INTERACT) study is using the Be Part of Research registry as a key element of its recruitment strategy. The study, run by Imperial, is a first of its kind and has been developed in response to the UK Government’s Loneliness Strategy. It aims to collect data from thousands of people across the UK to produce a visual snapshot of social isolation and loneliness.
