CCG Excess Treatment Cost (ETC) Provider Thresholds for 2021/22

The CCG ETC Provider Thresholds for the 2021/22 financial year have been agreed by NHSE/I and are now available on the ETC Google Site. Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on recruitment, and the Managed Recovery programme, the Thresholds have been reduced by 30%, therefore set at 70% of the standard rate (the standard rate being 0.01% of operating income for hospitals trusts (0.005% for ambulance trusts) or £7,000, whichever is the higher).
These Provider Thresholds will be reflected in the CCG ETC Payment Schedules which will be distributed to LCRNs during the week commencing 16 August. The combined Q1 and Q2 payments will be received by LCRN Hosts in November 2021; therefore payments from LCRN Hosts to Providers should be made in December 2021.
